Homeless charity Save The Family held a Christingle Service for all the residents

FAMILIES at homeless charity Save The Family enjoyed a moving Christingle service to celebrate the beginning of Christmas at the Northop Hall centre.

The service began with Christmas carols and was followed by some parents sharing their experience of support from the charity and how much they have been helped to move on in their lives and leave their unhappy past behind.

Emily Ghazarian, of Save The Family, said: “There was a magical feeling at the event. There was so much hope and happiness conveyed by each of the families.

“The work staff do at Save the Family is so precious because we prevent children being torn away from their parents through no fault of their own. Christmas is a very special time of year and families should be together.”

After the service, the congregation gathered outside for the Christmas light switch-on.
