Chester-based Dee Sign choir appears live on Granada Reports

A SIGN language choir has been showcasing its skills to the region with a live TV appearance on Monday evening.

Members of Chester-based Dee Sign performed on the regional news programme Granada Reports, following a successful year of touring.

The choir, directed by Anne Hesketh, has been raising awareness of the hearing impaired and deafness support network by performing songs such as Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me and White Christmas, welcoming audience participation.

One of the guests attending an event in Newcastle, which was a chief nursing officers summit, was Granada Reports presenter Lucy Meacock. Following the performance, the choir was invited to appear on the programme.

And Avril Devaney, director of nursing, therapies and patient partnership and the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership of the NHS Foundation Trust, presented Anne with £677.22
