Breaking the ice in Rufus Court
STEAK knives and chisels were out in Rufus Court at the weekend for two days of ice sculpting.
People signed up in advance for the chance to work with European champion ice sculptors Matt Foster and Russell Degnan from Liverpool-based Glacial Art.
Matt said: “The workshops were all fully booked and people got a chance to shape a dolphin out of a single block of ice.”
The duo will be out and about in Ellesmere Port this evening (Thursday) in the Civic Square and in Northwich on Saturday.
Matt and Russell then travel to Latvia in February to defend their European title.
