SANTA switched his sleigh for the Time Lord’s Tardis to ensure presents were handed out on time at the Lady Heyes Craft Centre in Frodsham.
Joined by Dr Who himself and formerTiswas TV star Bob Carolgees, as well as fundraiser Stephen Kelleher, more than £200 was raised for the Christie Hospital in Manchester at The Rock Shop.
Organiser Stephen said: “The fun day raised £228 in just four hours from coins in two collection buckets.
“Everyone enjoyed the day, especially the children who met Father Christmas and Doctor Who.”
Dr Who fan Stephen built the Tardis in memory of his brother-in-law Stephen Kinsella, who died of cancer, and it has proved a hit with children, families and fans and raised thousands of pounds for charity in the process.
“The BBC called me the Time Lord of Frodsham on North West Tonight and I love it, even though my grandchildren say ‘Grandad you’re not a Timelord’.
“I say ‘Yes I am, it's been on the news’.”
Visitors to the shop received crafts, cakes, and presents, as well as listening to a harpist and enjoying home-made mulled wine and German Stollen cake to complete the festive day.
With the weather worsening, Cheshire Police has published a short video for drivers. View it here Read
