A CHESTER woman was mugged by three men as she walked home in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 23 December.)
The 27 year-old local woman was walking home at around 12am after a night out with friends along Panton Road when she was approached by three men.
They told her to hand over her handbag, but when she refused they punched her to the floor.
The men grabbed her handbag and stole the small amount of loose change that was in it. They then ran off in the direction of Canadian Avenue leaving her on the ground.
Police spokeswoman Jacqui Hanson said: “The victim didn’t receive and serious injuries but she was left shaken by the attack.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack and are asking anyone who saw the three men before, after or during the incident to contact them.
The men are described as all white aged between 15 and 16 years old. The first male was around 5ft 6in tall, clean shaven and of skinny build, he was wearing a black hooded top which had a full length silver zip, and faded blue jeans with white trainers.
The second male was shorter than the first around 5ft 4in tall, of skinny build, he had short brown hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top and blue jeans.
The third male was wearing a cap, and a low BMX style bike.
