A FURTHER three new retailers have opened their doors in Chester’s Grosvenor Shopping Centre during the run-up to Christmas, and contracts are being finalised this week for two more.
This brings to six the number of new retailers that have opened since October.
“It’s a very encouraging development and good news for City shoppers who now have greater choice and more quality options,” said centre manager, Julie Webb.
The latest openings include Ptarmigan, on St Michael’s Row which offers quality clothing and accessories for the country pursuits and style enthusiasts, and ladies’ lingerie store, Cachet, on Bridge Street.
In addition, Whitewall Galleries in St Michael's Row offers a range of exclusive contemporary art from around the world and provides art lovers the opportunity to buy their first ever collectable Limited Edition or expand an existing collection of original art.
Commenting on the gallery opening, Rebecca Ball, Sales Director said: “Our aim has always been to make art accessible to all, and with a new gallery space in the centre of such a striving city as Chester, we very much look forward to opening art up to a wider audience.”
These latest opening follows on from the arrival at the centre of a range of new retailers including Dash women's clothing store, independent bag retailer, Oxford Bags, G.C Footwear of Southport, independent furniture store, Listers, and Eduardo Pelle.
A £1million refurbishment of the shopping centre car will have an official launch in January.
