Cheshire careers service Connexions receives Cabinet Office award

CONNEXIONS - Cheshire & Warrington Limited have been awarded the Customer Service Excellence Award (CSE).

This is the Cabinet Office’s quality standard and shows that Connexions offers the highest level of customer service to all its stakeholders, from local authorities and schools, to young people and adults.

This is the first year that Connexions have strived to achieve CSE as it has just been introduced to replace the Charter Mark quality standard and it is one of the first companies to receive it.

The award involved a comprehensive assessment of customer service from board level through to front line staff in the centres, youth clubs and hubs and schools.

The assessment includes the submission of detailed documented evidence followed by a site visit from an assessor, who established that customer service is integral to the culture of the company.

During his visit the assessor spoke to a wide range of people including board members, senior managers, corporate and operational staff and a variety of customers including young people and school representatives.

Connexions was not only awarded the standard but aspects of company practice have also been put forward as a national example of best practice and will be used as a case study on the Government Cabinet Office CSE website www.cse.cabinetoffice/gov.uk.

Steve Hoy, chief executive for Connexions, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been awarded the Customer Service Excellence standard, as it shows how highly regarded we are by local authorities, schools, young people and adults.

Connexions will now take part in an assessment every year to maintain this standard.
