A FORMER borough councillor has taken up a vacancy at Tarporley Parish Council.
Former Vale Royal Borough Councillor Dawn Joyce has taken the place of Cllr Catherine Whincup who resigned last month.
Dawn used to be on the parish council but resigned last year as both parish and borough councillor to start a degree course.
She told the council after starting her course she realised she couldn’t do her degree and continue her job – so decided to end her course.
She said: “I have decided that I would like to come back and be a parish councilor and hope you will accept me.”
The council voted to co-opt her.
With the weather worsening, Cheshire Police has published a short video for drivers. View it here Read
