A TOP chef at Chester’s Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa has launched a weekly cooking programme on a new internet TV channel.
Executive chef Legh Myers features as the first slot on the Cheshire Channel’s recipe section, available at www.thecheshirechannel.tv.
Legh is inviting food-lovers to watch him cook his Jerusalem artichoke soup on the internet video, which is set in the kitchens of the hotel.
The video shows Legh taking viewers through his recipes and uses ingredients sourced locally from producers and farm shops throughout the county.
The Cheshire Channel cameraman and channel owner, Mark Hampshire, said: “From eating out, cooking and buying top quality food, residents and visitors to Cheshire can’t get enough of good grub, so when we had the opportunity to create a weekly recipe slot working with the county’s best chefs, we jumped at the chance.
“Viewers can choose when they want to watch the demonstrations as they are streamed onto The Cheshire Channel, which is watched via the internet.
“The recipe slots are already proving to be very popular and are already getting hundreds of hits a week.
“Because all of the chefs are Cheshire-based and with restaurants on our doorsteps, fans can learn to cook with the chefs and then visit the restaurants to get further inspiration and compare notes!”
Additional content on themes such as property, days out, places to eat, fitness and growing produce is added weekly on to the website.
