Cheshire Police witness appeal after Chester city centre assault on Ellesmere Port man

A MAN has been arrested after an assault in Chester city centre.

Cheshire Police was called to a disturbance on Northgate Street at about 3.15am on Friday, December 11.

A 45-year-old man from Ellesmere Port received multiple injuries to the head and face and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.

A man, also aged 45 from Ellesmere Port, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.

Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
