A BLACON teenager has hit the big time on the catwalk.
Naomi Heap has been named Chester Model Girl 2009 in a beauty contest at the Ramada Hotel in Christleton.
Former Blacon High School student Naomi has recently qualified as a hairdresser.
She said: “I would like to have a successful career in both hairdressing and modelling.”
This was not Naomi’s first succes in the beauty world. In 2005 she won a Miss Wales competition.
“Unfortunately my headteacher wouldn’t let me have much time off then as I was in the middle of my GCSEs.”
Naomi has won a casting contract with the Impact Model Agency, £200 worth of make-up and a £250 portfolio with Dave Williams.
Second place went to Lauren Anderson of Flintshire and third place to another Chester girl, Yasmine Davies, of Cheyney Road.
Chester Charity Model Girl was Megg Wilford who raised £416 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. She also won a casting contract and £100 worth of prizes.
