RESIDENTS in Hoole are being reminded to keep their valuables safe after burglaries were reported in the area.
Over the last two weeks a number of sheds and garages in the Hoole area were broken into and items such as bicycles and tools stolen.
Police are investigating the thefts and have increased patrols in the area.
Officers are also reminding residents to think security, especially now the evenings are getting darker.
PCSO Keith Bartlett has delivered leaflets to homes in Hoole asking residents to keep valuables out of sight in their sheds or garages and to invest in a good lock to keep the out buildings secure.
PCSO Bartlett said: “Once a break in like this happens, we do everything we can to investigate the crime, but we would like help from residents to stop the crime happening in the first place.
“Fitting good quality shed locks or alarms and keeping any valuables out of the sight of windows can help residents avoid becoming the victim of crime.”
