Pupils from Kelsall, Dodleston and JH Godwin of Blacon perform at concert in Chester Cathedral

CHOIRS from three primary schools were united in song at Chester Cathedral.

Pupils from Kelsall, Dodleston and JH Godwin of Blacon, joined members of the cathedral choir to delight a packed audience.

The concert formed the culmination of the Chorister Outreach Programme, which is part of the government-funded National Music Manifesto.

Pupils from each school have been taking part in vocal workshops with the cathedral choir while members of the cathedral’s music team have been visiting classes since the beginning of term.

Kelsall headteacher Stephen Williams said: “This was a memorable experience.”
