Cheshire West and Chester councillors syas district is well prepared for winter’s icy roads

CHESHIRE West and Chester councillor Hugo Deynem is promising that the Gowy ward will be well stocked with salt.
Member champion for climate change cllr Deynem told the residents of Ashton Hayes that salt would be provided again by the Salt Union at Winsford.
He said: “We also have nine gritters based at our depot in Guilden Sutton taking salt from a salt barn which is stocked ready for the winter season.
“This year we will also be storing an additional 1,000 tonnes of salt there as a back-up should salt supplies prove difficult again.”
