Youngsters at Abbey Gate College at Saighton enjoy success on the slopes

ABBEY Gate College pupil’s are all set for the start of the ski season and have already had success on the dry slopes.

Two teams from the junior department in Aldford had good results at the English Schools Dry Slope Championships, while a team of girls from the senior school at Saighton will be racing teams in the British Schools Championship

Five teams of Abbey Gate College pupils recently competed in the English Schools Championships. After the qualifying for the competition in Stoke one of the boys’ teams and the girl’s team from the Junior School reached the final.

The following day it was the turn of the senior girls in the English Open Championship. Despite miserable weather, the girls held their nerve and finished in 9th place on the day, which entitled them to a place in the British Schools Championships.
