Tarvin Methodist Church raise more than £1,000 at festive craft fair

A GRAND effort reaped the rewards at a craft fair at Tarvin Methodist Church.

Organisers were thrilled to learn that, from the two stalls allocated for chapel funds along with takings from the cafe, £1,224 was raised.

The chapel’s stalls selling cakes, jams, crafts as well as a raffle proved a firm favourite with the customers while there were also 15 other stalls on show.

One of the organisers, Charles Bradley, said “It was a tremendous day,” he said. “People are pleased to come to the fair because there is always a great selection of things to buy. People can buy their Christmas presents here.

“We get called the church on the high street but we want to be known as the church at the heart of the community.

“Christine Davies was the main organiser and worked so hard and deserves all the credit.”
