Pop star Mollie King of The Saturdays talks to Ellesmere Port Pioneer about what she wants for Christmas

SATURDAYS pop star Mollie King wants a puppy for Christmas – but only if her mum will let her!

Speaking to the Pioneer before The Saturdays performed at Cheshire Oaks on Friday, the 22-year-old said her favourite thing about the festive period is being with all her loved ones.

“I’ll spend it with my family,” she said. “I like going to church on Christmas Eve and love being with all my family, my grandparents will come over. I love all the family being together.

“I’m asking for a puppy but it’s not really that I’m asking for anyone to buy it for me because I can buy it for myself, but I’m kind of asking for the permission off my mum because she’s like ‘don’t get one, don’t get one’ but I really want one.”

The Saturdays wowed the excited crowd with some of their biggest pop hits.

Mollie said: “We’ve each got our own style so it’s good to get that out there. I’m quite girly. At the moment I love high-waisted skirts and platforms.”

The girls may take to the stage in some of the most glamorous outfits, but Mollie and bandmate Vanessa White, 20, revealed they love nothing more than wearing a tracksuit when they’re at home away from the limelight.
