Canon Roger Royle to speak at Chester Cathedral

POPULAR radio personality Roger Royle is visiting Chester this month.

Anglican priest Rev Royle, a Radio 2 regular, will speak at a fundraising dinner at Chester Cathedral on Friday November 27.

The dinner is to raise money for the cathedral’s education department and its link parish in Kondopoga in the north of Russia.Š The department puts on tours, talks, conferences and activities for children from schools and Sunday schools throughout the diocese, including family activity days during the school holidays.Š The parish in Kondopoga supports community work with disadvantaged children and adults in a society where social services have almost collapsed.Š

Tickets for the dinner are £40 each, including wine and coffee and entertainment from a jazz duo are available from Jane Jones on 01244 312188. Tickets must be bought in advance.
