Chester Catholic High School students raise funds for CAFOD

CHESTER Catholic High School students have filled Brazil with money this week.

Following a week of assemblies learning about the poverty in the country with presentations by CAFOD (Catholic Agency For Overseas Development) speakers Sue Bowness and Liz Aiello, the youngsters were each invited to place a one pound coin on a map of Brazil during the charity’s Family Fast Day.

In just three hours teachers and staff filled the map with 494 one pound coins.

A further £6 rounded off the total to a final £500 donation to CAFOD.
