FATIGUED freshers’ suffering from a week of over-exertion have benefited from an authentic teepee chill-out area.
Hundreds of new arrivals at the University of Chester were greeted by the 18ft Native American conical tent.
Chaplain Ian Arch said: “The teepee was there all week and we wanted to welcome any students who may want to talk or meet new people. Not everyone is interested in the bars and clubs of the city centre, so we want to provide something a little bit different for them. It’s a fun alternative venue for music and conversation.”
The teepee was constructed at the heart of the Parkgate Road campus and was open from 10am-to-11pm every day.
An alcohol-free zone, the teepee was also used as an unconventional meeting point for clubs and societies.
