VISITORS to Delamere Forest can now appreciate an improved visitor’s centre – thanks to a makeover from Rowlands Pharmacy’s head office staff.
Team Rowlands took charge of the project at Delamere to help make Linmere Visitor Centre and its’ surrounding area more attractive and appealing for visitors.
The project was headed by Kathryn Gill, secretary and personal assistant to MD Kenny Black and commercial director John D’Arcy.
Delamere Forest Park comprises of over 950 hectares of mixed deciduous and evergreen forest, open grassland and wetlands and is the largest wooded area in Cheshire.
The project involved regenerating the covered seating area outside the centre by digging over the land, planting shrubs, pruning down existing foliage and laying down bark chippings.
The group included five area managers, the group security manager, locum board manager and group company secretary as well as the MD himself, who swapped their suits for gardening gloves.
Rowlands Pharmacy is a national chain of more than 500 pharmacies throughout the UK and has served the community for nearly 200 years.
Its’ mission is to be a top class provider of health related services and products to include health and wellbeing.
Kathryn Gill, Rowlands director’s secretary, said: “Our aim was to provide a more welcoming first impression for visitors to the centre.
“And with a bit of hard work, we feel this has been achieved, thanks to the contributions of everyone involved.
“I’d also like to thank everyone at Delamere for making a very fun day possible.”
