Prince Charles backs Scented Garden Holistic Salon in Chester

AN EXPANDING business has received a royal seal of approval.

Scented Garden Holistic Retreat opened its second salon on Bridge Street Row in Chester in July.

Owner Laura Heywood started her business in November 1995, with a £3,250 business loan from The Prince’s Business Trust.

After the new salon opened Laura wrote to the Prince to tell him of its growing success.

He wrote back sending his congratulations.

The letter, personally written by the Prince, read: “If my Business Trust and efforts have made a small difference to the wonderful work you do, then I am thrilled.”

The Prince continued: “I will look upon your kind offer to visit your clinic when I am next in Chester.”

Laura said: “I know what a keen advocate the Prince is of natural therapies and he carries out a lot of good work to promote our industry.

“We have always kept in touch with him and he has always very kindly written back to us with warm words of encouragement.”

The salon is open Monday-Saturday, for details call 01244 344335 or go to www.scented- garden.co.uk.
