Crowds turn out for fun day at Airbus, Broughton

Thousands of people turned out to enjoy a family fun day at Broughton’s Airbus factory last weekend.

The event, on Saturday, attracted around 25,000 visitors, including staff and their families, retired employees and neighbours.

The main attraction was a flying visit from the A380, which toured earlier made its first visit to Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The day also had an environmental theme, with biodiversity groups including The Woodland Trust attending and tree planting taking place on site.

We sent our photographer VALERIE HACKPIL along to capture the action.
