Chester man treated for stab wounds to his eye

A MAN was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his right eye after an assault at a house in Chester last night.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: "At 7.52pm police were called to an address on Telford Way following a report of an assault.

"Upon entering the house, officers discovered a 43-year-old man with swelling to his head, stab wounds to the right eye and numerous superficial injuries.

"He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.

"A 41-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is currently being interviewed by police."
