YOUNGSTERS with model behaviour are being invited to compete for the Mini Face of Chester accolade.
The Grosvenor Shopping Centre is giving parents the chance to get their children in front of the camera and strut their stuff on the catwalk in the launch of their Kids Chaos competition.
Parents can enter their children into two categories, for those aged two to five and those aged six to 12.
A boy and girl winner will be chosen from each category by Real Model Management and the winners will receive a year’s contract with the firm and a photographic session with a professional photographer.
The winners will also get the chance to appear on the catwalk at the shopping centre’s Kids Chaos fashion shows on Thursday, September 24.
Julie Webb, general manager of the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to team up with Chester Fashion and Real Model Management for what promises to be our best ever fashion week programme.
“The Face of Chester competition continues to be a year-on-year success so we are expecting the Mini Face of Chester competition to be hugely popular as well.”
Other events during the shopping centre’s fashion week include an animated windows exhibition on September 21-22, when models will replace mannequins in shop windows.
Style guru Patrick Swan will be visiting the centre for a makeover day on Friday, September 25.
Finally, professional models will take to the catwalk in the Grosvenor Fashion Show the following day.
To enter the Mini Face of Chester competition, write to Chester Fashion for an application form at Chester Fashion, 1 Souters Lane, Chester, CH1 1SD. All finalists will be notified by Thursday, September 17.
