First floor bedroom extension agreed to semi in Chester suburb

A FIRST-FLOOR extension to a suburban semi had approval.

The extension was put forward at 47 Alwyn Gardens, Upton by Simon Turner.

A single storey garage and kitchen extension at the side and rear of the property had permission in 2004, according to a report.

No objections to the first floor extension were raised by Upton Parish Council or by neighbours.

The extension, above the garage, would create a bedroom and ensuite, say planning officers. The new build would increase the floorspace of the original property by 73% compared with the 30% guideline.

Cheshire West and Chester Council agreed the extension could have permission.
