A CHESTER student has been given a helping hand for university,
James Dixon has been awarded a bursary from the Helena Kennedy Foundation.
James, who studied at Deeside College, was among more than 1,000 applicants.
The Helena Kennedy Foundation exists to overcome social injustice by providing financial bursaries, mentoring and support to disadvantaged students enabling them to complete their studies in higher education and move on into employment.
James was last year named Deeside College Business Student of the Year and will begin a business management degree at Liverpool John Moores University in the coming weeks.
