Art trail in countryside as part of Chester Arts Festival

ART has found a natural place to hang thanks to a new rural attraction.

As part of the Chester Arts Festival, three local businesses worked together to create Walk of Art, a 2.3km walking and cycle trail featuring a selection of artwork hung around the course from trees and posts.

The attraction is open until September 30 and runs from Down to a Fine Art in Stretton to Castletown. Nearby, visitors will find The Bull in the heart of Shocklach, offering a free pint of real ale or free glass of wine, courtesy of Corks Out of Chester, when ordering a main meal, and one child eats free with every two adults.

Jon Cox, owner of The Bull, said: “Jaine at Down to a Fine Art originally thought of the concept but Richard and I were keen to become involved, we felt it was an exciting opportunity for friends and families to enjoy a day out with a difference – at a price that won’t break the bank.”

Leaflets outlining the trail route can be collected from Down to A Fine Art at the start of the walk.
