Tarporley apprentice is Reasheath Student of the Year award

A TARPORLEY apprentice has been awarded the Reasheath College Student of the Year award.

Thomas Boughey, 19, an apprentice at Tarporley Service Centre, was presented with the Student of Year award along with his National Diploma in motor vehicle maintenance.

Tom said: “I didn’t know anything about the award until they announced it at the presentation day. I was really surprised and pleased.

“I received a tankard and a certificate and I now have full time employment at the centre.”

Tom is following in the footsteps of his boss John White, who also received a Student of the Year award from South Cheshire College in 1992, after completing his diploma.
