Pupils celebrate international approach to education at The Arches Community School in Blacon
PUPILS of The Arches Community School in Blacon have been celebrating life in the wider world.
A special assembly was held to celebrate the introduction of the International Primary Curriculum.
Classes from Year 1-6 have been learning about the cultures, religions and lives of those around the world through topic-based work including clothing, chocolate, the Olympics and the Big Picture.
Deputy headteacher Kate Shephard said: “The goal of the International Primary Curriculum is for children to enjoy their learning, develop enquiring minds and respect for the nationalities and cultures of others.”
