Damaged power supply lines cause delays for Chester motorists

Motorists in Chester City Centre may experience delays over the next two days as a power company works to repair a damaged supply line.

Early on Sunday morning, July 19 , one of the two high voltage power supplies to Chester city centre developed a fault.

ScottishPower immediately started work to repair the damage which is expected to last until Wednesday July 22.

Until the work is complete the left feeder lane from the A51 Boughton/ The Bars to Grosvenor Park Terrace will remain closed .

Traffic can turn left at the traffic lights, but delays should be expected, especially at peak periods.
