CHARITABLE Chester parents had a ball to raise £10,000 for two worthy causes.

Parents of pupils of The Firs School, Newton Lane, Chester raised the cash at a ball at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel.

Parents’ committee members Becky Patton and Geoff Faulkner handed cheques for £5,000 each to Julie Williams of the Cheshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Cath Jeffries of Wirral and Chester Renal Group.

The ball raised funds via a raffle and an auction.
