Lache gets hanging baskets on its lampposts after a 10-month campaign

MONTHS of negotiations have left lampposts looking distinctly more colourful with the installation of hanging baskets.

The floral decorations are now hanging on the posts outside shops in the centre of Lache.

It has taken 10 months of negotiation with the council to secure the baskets and the organisers say it is the first time such a thing has happended there.

Lache Neighbourhood Management coughed up the cash and, on Monday, the baskets were finally put up.

Bob McCombe, of Lache Residents Association, was project leader and hopes it will help Lache's development into a garden village.
