Community project held at Bishop Heber High school to help young people in the village.

MORE than 100 pupils took part in an event to help generate ideas for community projects.

Year 9 pupils from Bishop Heber High School, took part in the Cheshire Police Crimebeat project.

The project was a full day activity where students completed a series of nine tasks linked to setting up a community project for young people in their village.

The winning team from the Heber Community Project were presented with £3,000 to set up their project. The money was donated by the Morgan Foundation, set up by local businessman Steve Morgan and Jane Harris.

The winning team was a group of students from the Farndon area with an idea to develop a fitness scheme at the Farndon Sports and Social Club.

All groups will now take their ideas to the various Parish Councils.
