SIXTY metre sprints and relay races rounded off a successful junior sports day at Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School, Handbridge.

Following an impressive display of skills including skipping, hurdles and the egg and spoon race, youngsters from Years 3-6 raced against each other on the school field.

Winner of the Year 6 boys 60m was Matthew Pagan and 11-year-old Kirsty Ritchie crossed the line first in the girls race. In Year 5 it was Saul Foye-Burns and Felicity Webb who were first past the post.

Leading the way in Year 4 were Max Carter and Samantha McIlwaine and topping the leader board in Year 3 were Aiden White and Becky Russell.
