Chester’s King’s school pupils play jazz at Eaton Hall

MUSICIANS from The King’s School assisted Chester Cathedral Choir who presented a fundraising concert at Eaton Hall.

Philip Rushforth, Director of Music at the cathedral, presented a programme of choral music in the hall’s chapel.

School spokesperson Vicky Titmuss said: “King’s pupils Jonathon Gleek, 18 of Tarporley, Jason Brewer, 17 of Chester and Miles Rosen, 18 of Chester, added some wonderful jazz music with their King’s Jazz in the Long Room at the hall. Selim Ungut, 15 of Guilden Sutton also of King’s gave a scintillating performance on the piano.”

The concert was in aid of Chester Cathedral’s choir tour to Paris in October.
