Chester Northgate Dental Health staff raise £1,320 for Macmillan Cancer Support with charity abseil

DENTAL staff are all smiles after raising cash for charity.

Nineteen Northgate Dental Health staff and friends made the jump on June 7 at Devil’s Gorge, Loggerheads.

The 150ft fundraiser, for Macmillan Cancer Support, was in memory of organiser Sue Maddocks’s husband Dave, who died of cancer four years ago.

Sue, 58, of Broughton, said: “I have never been so scared but I would do it again as it is for a good cause.

“We did it through Abseil UK who were very supportive and their good sense of humour helped us through!”

So far £1,320 has been raised.

Dentist Ray McNamara paid the entry fee for the team to take part and doubled the money they raised.
