Tattenhall Marina offically opened

CHESHIRE’S newest leisure attraction, a £2.5million canal marina, has been officially opened.

Work began on the 300-berth Tattenhall Marina in October and, after being filled with water from the Shropshire Union Canal, it has now received its first narrowboats.

Thanks to careful planning and landscaping, which has involved planting numerous trees and creating special ‘soft’ edges around the marina basin, it is also a haven for wildlife, in particular the Great Crested Newt.
