Frodsham Festival marks charter

A HISTORIC twist on Frodsham’s annual festival will see the town celebrate its 800th anniversary.

Following a parade headed by new mayor Geoff Bath, the festival will start at about 12.30pm on Sunday at Castle Park.

Malcolm Davies of Frodsham and Helsby Rotary Club said: “This year we are celebrating the 800th anniversary of the granting of a borough charter to Frodsham.

“We will be improving upon the activities of previous years with attractions including live music, belly dancing, a craft fayre, children’s attractions, choral presentations, side stalls and demonstration designed to appeal to all, both young and old alike.”
