ONE of Chester’s leading designer stores has enjoyed bumper trading since its new store opened.
Hugo Boss moved within the Grosvenor Shopping Centre to a more prominent location by the Bridge Street entrance about a month ago.
Five new jobs were created following the £750,000 move into landmark premises, formerly occupied by menswear retailer Cochrane’s of Chester.
The shop is now one of the biggest Hugo Boss outlets in the North West.
The store is in keeping with the building’s Grade II listed status and now trades from two levels and offers a wider selection of tailored suits and accessories, including brief cases and luggage.
Manager Steven Porter, 32, said: “We moved into the larger premises to cope with the increase in demand.
“Both staff and managers are really pleased with the results.”
Grosvenor Shopping Centre manager Julie Webb said: “We are thrilled with the new Hugo Boss store.
“Hugo Boss is one of the centre’s most exclusive retailers and being in a prime location and larger premises should prove invaluable in attracting customers.”
