RESTAURANT owner Paul Heathcote has been made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Mr Heathcote, whose outlets include the 1539 restaurant at Chester Racecourse, has been honoured for his services to the hospitality industry.
He said: “I would personally like to thank all the staff who have helped to contribute towards this MBE.
“When I look at the high standards we set but then need maintaining by our wonderful people, I feel very proud of the achievements.
“Success helps contribute enormously to the economic climate; we are fortunate that we have been involved in many initiatives at Chester which positively affects the local community.”
