PLUMES of smoke from a car fire on Wrexham Road could be seen across Chester last night (Thursday, June 16).
Fire crews were called to the burning Vauxhall Corsa which was sat outside the Catholic High School at 9.35pm.
Police were already in attendance when Chester fire crews arrived.
Chester Fire Station crew manager Mark Beechey said: “The red Vauxhall Corsa was well alight when we arrived. We used one hose eel to extinguish the blaze.”
He added: “After it was extinguished the incident was handed over to the police.”
