A 42-year-old man is assaulted at Hoole pub

A 42-YEAR-old man was taken to hospital after an assault at a Hoole pub last night (Tuesday, June 16).

Police were called to the Flookersbrook pub on Ermine Road at 11.30pm after reports of an assault.

The 42 -year-old was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital, and was kept in overnight for observation.

Forensic teams attended the scene and a police officer remained on guard at the public house all night.
