Wallet and jewellery stolen in distraction burglary in Helsby

A WALLET and jewellery were stolen in a distraction burglary in Helsby on Wednesday, June 3.

A man claiming to be from the water board asked to check the pipes in the back garden of a property on Chester Road.

While the residents were distracted a second male entered the property and the wallet and jewellery were stolen.

The first man is described as white, 5'8'' tall, of medium build with very dark short straight hair. He is aged between 17 and 23 and was wearing a dark blue polo style shirt with multi- coloured stripes.

The second offender is white aged between 19 and 26 with fair hair and blue eyes. He is clean shaven with a very fair skin tone . He was wearing a long sleeved white shirt with vertical pin stripes with dark trousers.
