Funds raised for Kelsall Green Project at Kelsall Village Fair hosted by Kelsall Primary School

YOUNGSTERS would have impressed TV tycoon Sir Alan Sugar with their entrepreneurial skills at this year’s Kelsall Village Fair.

Pupils of Kelsall Primary School sold cakes on their mini stall at the well-attended event and raised £35 on their own, boosting funds raised on Saturday to £470.

The village showcase, featuring various stalls, competitions and Victorian-themed attractions, was organised by the school’s PTA and Kelsall Parish Council’s recreation committee.

The money raised will go towards the Kelsall Green project which is in phase two as £10,000 is being sought for play equipment for the village’s teenage population.

Organiser Sharon Grover said: “The children had a fantastic time and we were very pleased with their fundraising achievements.

“There was quite a lot of money raised so all the baking paid off in the end!

“We would like to sincerely thank the PTA for allowing us to use their facilities and I think the fair demonstrated that the whole community is behind Kelsall Green which can only help us take the project forward.”
