DEPUTY manager of an Ashton Hayes nursery celebrates achieving her Early Years Professional Status.
Heather Littler completed the course at Manchester University and was presented with a certificate to recognise her achievement by nursery manager Mandy Jourdan and some of the children at Ashton House Nursery.
Heather has an established career working in childcare. After completing her A-levels in September 1995, she joined Ashton House Nursery as a nursery assistant and during the last 14 years has developed her career into management.
Heather said: “I am delighted to have achieved Early Years Professional Status. It was hard work but definitely worth the effort.
“We all want the best for our children and this qualification ensures that those working with children under the age of five benefit from the highest level of training.”
Mandy said: “It’s a very proud moment for us all to toast the success of our first Early Years Professional and we are thrilled to have the support of our staff, parents and children alike to recognise this achievement.”
