THE funeral service of Mrs Frances Davies, of Lyon Street, Newtown, Chester, who died at the Countess of Chester Hospital on May 22, took place at Blacon Crematorium on June 2.

Mrs Davies was born Frances Mary Rowlands in Chester, the second of seven children.

She married Tony Davies on March 22, 1952. They had a long and happy marriage and had one son, Kevin, born in 1962.

Mrs Davies lived life to the full, was full of fun and loved a good party. Always friendly, she had a lot of friends at the Mecca Bingo Club where she was a regular, and kept in touch with friends she and Tony made on their regular holidays to Magalluf.

Frances cared very deeply about her family and for many years she looked after her sister-in-law Norma.

Retired archdeacon Leslie Williams took the service.
