Teenagers show Street credit

STUDENTS have been rewarded for their hard work.

YMCA Training, Lower Bridge Street, Chester, which runs Street – steps to real education, employ- ment and training – held its award ceremony recently.

Students received certificates in key skills working with others from tutor Lee Martin.

The Street alternative curriculum scheme, funded by the European Social Fund, covers maths, English, geography, history and art.

The 15- and 16-year-olds attended two days a week during term time and gave presentations as well as taking part in teamwork exercises.
