Sculpture show being held in grounds of Cholmondeley Castle

THE annual open-air Sculpture Show on Cholmondeley Castle estate gives visitors the chance to see some of the UK’s best contemporary art.

The nine-day exhibition opens on June 14, and then runs from June 18-21, and June 25-28.

“The exciting collection of original, contemporary sculpture can be seen to its best advantage against a natural outdoor backdrop,” said organiser Mike Lickman.

Selected sculptors, some of whom also exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, will be selling their work.

This will be the fourth year the show has been held in the garden of Judy and John Bromley-Davenport in Croxton Green.

The show is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free. Ring 01299 896188.

The sculptures will be previewed at a champagne reception in aid of the Clatterbridge Centre of Oncology on June 13. Ring 0151 482 7948 for more details.
