NO APPOINTMENT is to be made by Cheshire West and Chester Council to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
The decision follows a review by the council of appointments made by Chester City Council to outside organisations.
Upton councillor Jill Houlbrook, (Con), who represented the city council, has said she is happy to continue on a voluntary basis.
The council says that links with the hospice will be maintained through its social care and health commissioning team.Š
The hospice provides specialised care for people living with advanced diseases from Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere port and rural Cheshire.
